MP3 REVIEW: Wreck of the Hesperus “Long Streak of Misery” (Fort Evil Fruit)

                Though this cassette by Wreck of the Hesperus begins with Rush-like synth and cymbal crashes, it kicks in pretty heavy and can resemble something a bit more like Black Sabbath or a hardcore punk band.   There is also a bit of distorted drone to it, but then it does go into some screaming/growling and can stand its ground with something heavy like Dead to Fall.  

                It’s not quite stoner metal per se, but it is a bit slower in the sense of metal and I’d almost like to call it “droner metal”, but that just somehow seems too cheesy for this greatness.
