This
is a comedy sort of album mixed with vaudeville in terms of the musical aspects
of it. The content can literally be
referred to as “toilet humor”, yet can also be as clever (or cheesy, you
decide) as saying that they never hurt an onion so why do they always make them
cry.
For
songs that are primarily piano and dueling vocals, there is a lo-fi quality
mixed within the accordion that comes out as well as Daniel Johnston and just
the overall blues feel of the titular track.
While
it can be taken seriously on a music level, and is rather good, it becomes a
comedy album at its core because of the lyrical content and based upon the
title you’ll either say, “Yeah, that could be funny” and listen to it or just
think it sounds/looks stupid and pass it up.
