For the
most part, these five songs are an acoustic guitar and a voice. They start off sounding like EFS and/or a
twee band back from when I was reviewing twee and it didn’t have the name twee
yet. It can get slightly electric at
times, and the last song does get a little weird, but all things considered
this is a fairly normal sort of album for Mormon Toasterhead.
Although
on the first song he does sing about Waldo finding himself, and so that’s
probably not normal.
Hands
down, so far my favorite Mormon Toasterhead song is “Constantly Inconsistent”, which is the
middle track on here- the hump if you will- and it’s just a thing of pure
beauty. Anyone who might feel like MTH sucks or can’t
write a good song just needs to listen to this song right here. It’s a perfect example of how truly amazing
Mormon Toasterhead can be.
