CASSETTE REVIEW: RUMTUM “Geo Neo” (Chill Mega Chill)

Earlier this year, I fell in love with the music of RUMTUM as I heard the miniEP along with some other bands on the HUG Records family.   When this tape was being released via Chill Mega Chill (who just do superb work as a cassette label) I knew it had to be mine.

Most Chill Mega Chill releases sell out within the first day of their release and as far as I can remember, RUMTUM was no exception.   As I’ve noted before, as much as I loved grunge I also had a large collection of hip hop and R&B cassettes growing up.  (Including some rather strange soundtracks at that)

This takes me back to the days of those beat tapes and for that I love it.  It doesn’t make sense for me to even be reviewing this, but I am.   I love RUMTUM, I knew they’d sound great on cassette and they do.   Find a way to get this secondhand or don’t miss out next time RUMTUM drops a tape.

You’ve been warned.   And P.S. – RUMTUM please answer my request for an interview.  Please?
