A: I'd like them to hear that we wear our hearts on our sleeves. It's honest music and for people to just hear that would mean a lot.
2) Having music on Band Camp, along with other such platforms in music right now such as Sound Cloud, Spotify and others, do you feel that music is moving into a virtual age? Personally, I fully support the idea of downloading songs for free from Band Camp and then if I like them buying them on vinyl.
A: I think we're moving in both ways actually. We are becoming very digital but also want the quality that comes with listening to vinyl. It is pretty nice that we can connect with people through the Internet now. It's a lot easier now and faster.
3) How important of a factor do you feel that record labels play in music these days when pretty much anyone can put their music on the internet as opposed to having to hand out demo tapes at shows, the distribution record labels can offer, etc. It just seems like it’s a bit easier these days to succeed as a band- and even build up a strong fan base- before a label possibly comes calling for you.
A: It is a lot easier these days. A lot more beneficial to the bands too although I still think labels play a large role in what we do. They provide what we can't at times when it comes to expenses. We still do what we can and will continue to until we can't handle it anymore.
4) If you could tour with any single band or musician who would you pick and why?
A: Neil Young, just because Parker loves him, haha. Maybe Delta Spirit, Augustana or M. Ward would be really cool. They all just have really good music that we all enjoy and I'm sure they're cool kids.
5) Who is your favorite New Kid on the Block?
A: Stevie Wonder. He's a NKOTB right?
6) Who would win in a musical fight: Jack Black or Jack White?
A: Jack White of course! He shits rock and roll and was Elvis in a movie. Plus Jack White looks like he can throw a punch while Jack Black looks like he can take one.
