While
this appears to begin without vocals and I feel like we’re taking an
instrumental turn, it eventually does kick in with words.
The
songs begin with that 311/Cure feel that needs a name, but then transcend into
something a little bit faster than Superdrag and a little bit heavier and
faster than Radiohead. I can hear a bit
of Weezer coming out as well as some Nirvana even to some extent.
Mainly,
this is some good straight up rock that kind of defines its own little niche
the way that bands like Smoking Popes did.
You can compare it here and there, but this mostly just creates a new
spot all of its own.
