CASSETTE REVIEW: Venn Rain “Serene Beam” (Bridgetown Records)

                These songs are instrumental and ambient.  At times I cannot tell whether or not the tape is messing with me itself or if the tape player is being faulty.  It’s really not a nice trick to play on people, though I suppose it’d be just as easy to pretend a CD was skipping.

                When listening to this for the first time, I forgot who I was listening to though I had my notebook open to their page for review.  I made the comment that the notes from the piano drop like rain.    Then I looked at the band name and realized it all made sense.

                Funny how a plan comes together sometimes, isn’t it?
