CASSETTE REVIEW: Reighnbeau “Friends” (Bridgetown Records)

You could classify the sound of Reighnbeau as being that singer/songwriter type, but throughout these melodic songs I can hear so much more within them.   Not too many people seem to be making music like this these days, and I feel like that is a shame.

There are many ways that a one man band can sound, but they usually don’t take this turn.  I can only really think of back to over ten years ago when I first heard The Lindsay Diaries and that being what this reminds me of the most.

But back then we didn’t have tapes really at all.  So now that tapes are back, and Reighnbeau is making them, let’s follow him around like a guy looking for rolling papers at a 311 concert.
