Musically, this album is not that
bad. Based solely on its musical
merits, it is actually rather good. But
sometimes the vocals can throw you off no matter what else they accompany.
Such is the case with Daughn
Gibson. At his best, he sounds like the
singer from Depeche Mode and at his worst he sounds like he’s auditioning for a
Crash Test Dummies tribute band. Yikes.
If you can get past the vocals, you’ll
like this music for sure, but I couldn’t get past them myself. And the lyrics also lack a certain sort of
something.
