Four more songs without titles. The second song is an interlude at 52 seconds and the last song is an outro at 1:23, so this EP does tend to go by a lot faster than I think it should. That’s definitely not a bad thing- especially for ambient music- because sometimes it can just feel as if it drags on forever. No, Luke Cowan has found a good method here to keep the listener engaged.
It takes about a minute and a half into the first song before we hear the ambient synth, so for a little while you might have to turn the song up extra loud or simply keep wondering if it is indeed playing or not.
Side Thought: At some point in time, I may just burn all four of Luke Cowan’s EPs onto a single CD, listen to them all in a row while lying down outside in the grass and write my thoughts out as I do. That might actually be a bit of fun.
I feel like these songs particularly tend to get cut off before they can ever really take off. But again, when your main tag is ambient that is not such a bad thing.
See you for the threequel!
