SBSR: Save Ends “Strength Vs. Will”

Save EndsStrength Vs. Will
<1> “Time and Tarnish” – This has that feeling of The Rocking Horse Winner combined with Letters to Cleo, which is just remarkable.   In the bridge around the two minute mark it gets a bit sassy.  It also has the sound (the female vocalist) of the female vocalist from Straylight Run.
<2> “Sweet Defeat” – This starts with male and female vocals singing at the same time to a punk rock type vibe.  The female vocals then pick up first on their own, then the male vocals come in.  It’s a nice trade off, especially since it’s not done to the folk sounds I keep hearing from all the bands who want to be Of Monsters and Men.   Also, it’s just that the music this is set to is just so good.   I must also make a reference to Discount for some reason.
<3> “Settling Here” – Piano and male vocals start this song.   The vocals join up and then split into just female.   Then back to male.  This is the play-by-play here, people.  It’s what I do, hahaha.   “I say I’m fine but I still feel responsible”
<4> “Resurrection Hub” – Here we go again.  This is so much fun to listen to, really.  This song does also really remind me of Straylight Run, but don’t ask me why.
<5> “Dead and Gone” – I made friends with Father Time and he said “Walk away before your lungs get tired”.
