2:54 “Scarlet”
<1> “Scarlet” – We start off with a somewhat quiet indie rock intro, but kick into this great, raging guitar riff with the Blondie-esque vocals back in place. Although as we get further into the track, I’m hearing Shirley Manson a bit as well. I do like the chorus, as it’s catchy in a non-pop sort of way. It should be noted now that as I was looking over the song titles to copy into this review, I saw the “2:54” underneath every one of them and went through the following train of thought: “Whoa, all these songs are the same length… Wait, maybe that’s why they named the album that… No, it’s the band name not the album name… Maybe all their songs are that long and that’s why they’re called that… Oh, those aren’t the times of the songs but the band name. Nevermind”
<2> “Wait_Awake” – This song begins slightly different than the one before it. We still have the same overall sound though, and these songs do sort of begin to blend together with one another. It has a chorus not all too unlike the first song as well.
<3> “Got a Hold” – Well, now we’re starting off a bit differently. The chorus is a bit more haunting too, which I like.
<4> “Dawn”b yg ß typed by Tito // This song has a climbing guitar riff that reminds me of Hole, except for probably the vocals. Not 100% anyway.
