SPOTIFY REVIEW: Robert Ellis "The Lights from the Chemical Plant" (New West)

Back when I lived in Houston, Robert Ellis played free shows every Wednesday night at Fitzgerald’s.   Looking back at it now, it seems like a lifetime ago and it seems like some sort of mystic dream at that.  Can I actually remember this musician, who has now been around the world and crafted some of the best music I have ever heard, actually have played weekly free shows once upon a time?

Of course, back then Robert Ellis also had much more hair, so who knows, maybe he has been replaced by some sort of music making robot that is programmed not to fail.  If you can come up with a reasoning as to why this music is so infectious other than subliminal messaging I open to hear your opinions.
