I will
be the first to admit that I’m pretty sure I listened to music by Rebekah Higgs
once before but never got around to reviewing it. The name definitely looks familiar to
me. I do like this six song EP though.
The
songs are somewhere between Concrete Blonde and Mazzy Star and something like
Shannon and the Clams or High Pop. And
while the music itself can be rather good, a song such as “Pills” stands out as
well for its lyrical content.
I’m
going to have to go back and listen to Higgs’ music again, as this just left me
impressed.
