The
tinny drums and guitar sound that accompanies these vocals put X-Ray Charles
into a genre of 1990’s rock that was on the other side of grunge. This reminds me of bands like Replacements,
Lemonheads, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, Local H (to an extent) and even early
Goo Goo Dolls.
This
really is one of those particular niches of music that I enjoy a lot and for
that, I do enjoy this band quite a bit even if they do appear to be ahead of
their time.
Turn
this on, sit back and let the static carry you away.
