Child Actor is a mess of a band in the best possible way. I have notes about them going from dream pop to synth pop, sounding like The Hippos without the ska and getting loud enough to reflect hip hop. Male and female vocals both accompany this music that tends to stay within its own boundaries, I just have a hard time establishing what those boundaries are. This is an excellent album. Forget the $7 to download. Spend the $3 more and get this on CD.. (The CD comes with a download code anyway, I’d assume, so for $3 more you can’t go wrong)
