The Babies “Our House on the Hill”
The Babies came together as a side project of members of other bands, but that doesn’t really matter. They offer up both male and female vocals for that Buddy Holly style of punk rock. The thing that sets them apart from that clean cut image is the amount of f-bombs on their song “Mess Me Around”.
“Mean” is also a slowed down, acoustic track that has Bob Dylan-esque qualities to it.
When the female vocals take over, I like it even more as I feel like “Baby” is the surefire hit on this record.
