Blouse “Blouse”
I am conflicted by this album, but not by that much. While I really enjoy the energy of a song such as “Time Travel” (and the line “I was in the future yesterday”), this light indie rock sound with Deborah Harry vocals bores me most of the rest of the time. (“Into Black” nearly puts me to sleep, but then I wake up for “Videotapes”)
If you want to listen to something a little more amped up than this, I’d say Blondie for music past and Kimbra for music present and future. Ultimately, the good songs are not good enough to make up for the boring songs. Next!
