MP3 REVIEW: Bloody Knives “Burn It All Down”

Bloody KnivesBurn It All Down
Bloody Knives refer to themselves as “industrial shoegaze”, which is a pretty accurate description.    After hearing two EPs of five songs each by the band (“disappear” and a self-titled one) I continue to find the music to be a distorted synth powered blend of rock and something perhaps a bit darker—maybe such as The Smiths—thrown in for good measure.
I still hear a lighter bit of Stabbing Westward in these songs for sure, but that also still remains a compliment as I found Stabbing Westward to be an underrated band and the elements in their music that might seem dated today are not in the music of Bloody Knives.    Yes, after hearing a total of twenty something songs by this band I can tell you that I highly recommend you buy anything and everything that you can with their name on it.
