Gotye “Making Mirrors”
The first song on “Making Mirrors” makes me think I will ultimately end up hating Gotye. The second song proves me wrong, as he elements in his sound that remind me of Beck. The third song is one the radio, and in the fifth song he says “mother” in a very creepy way, but overall I do like this album. I still think Kimbra is actually better than this—which it’s rare to find someone better than the original artist you found out about them because of—but, yeah, this is still a solid album. I don’t know if I’d pay more than $7.99 for it though. That’s my price high. Or download it somewhere for $4.99 or less and then burn it onto your own CD. But it’s not really worth buying at full retail, in my opinion, no matter how good it is.
