SBSR: Co-Pilot / Alaskan split

Co-Pilot / Alaskan split
Recently, I’ve been downloading and listening to music like crazy from Band Camp.   This is a review of a group of songs by the same band I got from Band Camp- usually it constitutes an EP.   This is a song-by-song review and it is never to exceed six songs.   At the end, I will tell you the “Recommended Downloading Level”, which means whether or not I think you should spend your time downloading these songs.   It’s on a scale from 1 to 5, 5 meaning that you should stop reading my review and download these songs immediately and 1 meaning that if you even think about downloading these songs your computer will be infected with a horrific bad music virus.   Enjoy.
<1> “The Bering Sea” by Co-Pilot [8:51] – This is a rather lengthy instrumental rock song, but it has enough power to exist without vocals.   It also feels like a few different little songs built into one, so much so that you really don’t notice it as being one really long song.
<2> “Euthanize” by Alaskan [9:37] – This song starts a bit quieter than the first and then manages to kick in.   It’s all right it takes a while to kick in, what with it being near ten minutes and all you have the time to spend.  Whoa, and Alaskan just began growling out some lyrics.   Yikes.
These two very long were put out as a 12” record by the Treaty Oak Collective.  Instead of downloading them, I do recommend you go out and buy the record.
Recommended Downloading Level:  3/5
