MP3 REVIEW: KUTMAH “Black Wave Tapes Vol. 1” (HIT+RUN)

                From start to finish on these sixteen tracks, I find myself juggling between three different genres of “hop” music.   The beats bring me to the obvious first choice of hip hop, sure.  But then we get into trip hop.   Following that, I can hear something like synth pop come through as well, so I call that one synth hop.

                This is almost trill, and it’s similar to some of the other music I’ve been reviewing lately that I’ve liked (Keyboard Kid, eighty9s) in the way that it is hip hop at its core and above all else, but it is also about 98% instrumental.
