I never
really thought I’d live to see the year that Camera Obscura, Deerhunter and my
bloody valentine all released new albums.
Sure, over the course of five or ten years maybe, but what kind of
magical music year is this anyway?
I
reviewed an album from Camera Obscura simply because I said that I knew they’d
be putting out this album and I wanted to be ready. But after listening to even “Desire Lines”
far too many times, I must admit that Camera Obscura is one of my favorite
bands now and I can see why they have been so influential over the years.
It is
exciting music times we live in, my friends.
