Suffering Astrid “Gale Inlay”
<1> “Netheriser” – This song has a nice drum beat and then a mix of melodies and distortion. It’s like trying to hear an instrumental version of a Kings of Leon song on a radio with some static coming through, which apparently sounds quite awesome.
<2> “Correspondences Between Landscapes (As Above, So Below)” – The first song was five and a half minutes and this one is about double that in length. We’re starting off like something off of the “Fragile” album from Nine Inch Nails. Two minutes in and the drums and distortion are still going with slight melody in the background. Near the four and a half minute mark now and it sounds like the song is fading off into nothing. After five minutes it comes back with a drummers vengeance. Six and a half minutes and holding strong. Eight minutes and this song sounds like it can never possibly end, which is so trippy. Nine minutes and we’re slowing down again. Whoa, right before the nine and a half minute mark it just got really loud and scared the jeepers out of me. Let’s see how long it holds this wave for. I was about to say I could fall asleep to this song too. After ten minutes, the distortion has worn off and the guitars seem to be leading us out.
<3> “Distant Light” – Okay, this will be the first and possibly only time I stop reviewing an album in SBSR mode that I actually enjoy. Be sure to support this band because they make amazing music!!
<4> “Violent Dreaming”
<5> “W Morzu Ciemno+¢ci Duch M+¦j Toczy Si-Ö Bez Ko+äca”
<6> “Snow Falls Into Solitary Temples”
