CD REVIEW: White Horse “The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss”

White HorseThe Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss

What do you feel is the most impactful kiss you have ever seen in, say, a movie?   For me, the first one that always comes to mind is Mary Jane kissing Peter Parker upside down, but it seems like there must be better ones.   Oh well.

There are a lot of things wrong with this album.   Male and female vocals like Of Monsters and Men.   Americana music like Neil Young.   (Though the first song does sing of a secondhand gypsy)  The song “Cold July” sounds pretty much exactly like Adele’s “Settle Down”.    This band just seems like it’s throwing darts at the Top 40 Charts and producing songs in that style to see if they can get one on the radio or just popular in some way.   It’s interesting and may just work for them, but their attempts are useless on me.  Next!
