Kiven “Three Songs from Kiven”

<1> “Forward” – This song comes out right away sounding like Coldplay and I am not impressed.  It kicks into some piano driven sort of hard rock that you might hear on the radio and at one time might have called Wind-Up home.  As much as it sounded like Coldplay at the start, it’s slowly transitioning in some Black Crowes elements, but still nothing worth listening to if you don’t have to listen to it. 

<2> “Hope and Smoke” – A slightly more upbeat and faster paced song than the previous one, but nothing you couldn’t hear being done better by Incubus.   The chorus also is just something I can’t listen to without sighing. 

<3> “The Blur”  - Blah blah blah, more of the same.  I’m really not impressed with this band that has a name somewhere in between Given and Kevin.
