Boston-based indie-rock quartet Mean Creek are pleased to announce the video premiere for their new single, "Come On, Before It's Gone." Premiering over at IFC now, the song is the band's personal and cathartic message about seizing the moment and living for today.
"It's a song about grabbing hold of people and moments as they are here and as they are happening so that you don't end up with regrets, and so that love, life, and opportunities don't pass you by," frontman Chris Keene said. "The pop music we love is all about living in the now, so for these three minutes you can feel fully alive. That's what we try to do with our music - make people feel alive. Whether it's a sad song or a happy song, feeling anything, good or bad, is what life is all about." Check out the premiere of "Come On, Before It's Gone" over at IFC HERE.
Released on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 through Brooklyn-based Old Flame Records, Youth Companion, an album that was recently named "Album of the Year" at the 2012 Boston Music Awards, was recorded at 1867 Recording Studio by Chris McLaughlin, producer of Mean Creek's acclaimed debut album, The Sky (Or The Underground). With the release of Youth Companion, the members Mean Creek - Chris Keene (lead vocals/guitar), Aurore Ounjian (guitar/vocals), Erik Wormwood (bass), and Mikey Holland (drums) - have their sights set on impacting the nation as they have in their hometown with this new set of songs, the band's most focused and biggest-sounding work to date.
