Upcoming Jonathan Richman Covers EP, US Tour to SXSW, New LP This Fall and More!

Following the release of their debut album "New Jersey Hardcore" last fall on Killing Horse Records, and this past weekend's opening performance with Rough Trade up and comers Palma Violets, New Jersey and New York-based rock n' roll and punk band The Everymen have announced an upcoming appearance with Titus Andronicus, taking place this Wednesday, January 30th at Brooklyn Bowl in New York. In addition, the band has announced they've begun tracking their forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled followup LP due out this fall.
Says the band on the upcoming new album: "The Everymen are about halfway done tracking their followup to 2012's New Jersey Hardcore. The album is being produced by Mike V and The Everymen and recorded with Tommy Unish in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
A marked departure from NJHC's more straight ahead rock and roll, the yet-to-be-titled LP2 will dive into heavy blues shake and groove, Thin Lizzy-esque dual guitars, psychedelic freakouts and acoustic make out jams. You're gonna shit when you hear this fucking thing. John Agnello has signed on to mix the album and it will see release in early fall."
And since doing one thing at a time isn't nearly enough for The Everymen to handle, they're also dipping into and out of their own home studio to record some really bad sounding Jonathan Richman covers for a forthcoming 7" EP called Who Wrote These Songs? A Very Short Tribute To Jonathan Richman. That EP will hit the shelves of your favorite record stores this spring, and will be heading out on a series of US tour dates to this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, TX beginning in late February (full tour dates below).
