NEWS / TOUR: THE BRONX ANNOUNCES RECORD RELEASE SHOWS

THE BRONX ANNOUNCES RECORD RELEASE SHOWS
IN LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK CITY

Tickets Go On Sale This Friday, January 11, For February Events

The Bronx (IV), The L.A. Punk Band's First Album In Five Years,
Set For February 5 Release By White Drugs/ATO Records

Acclaimed Los Angeles punk outfit The Bronx will launch its first album in five years with celebrations on both coasts. The band will kick off the festivities on February 2 with a special evening at Silverlake's Los Globos, one of Los Angeles' oldest night clubs, then head to New York City for a show at the Bowery Electric on February 5. Tickets for both events will go on sale this Friday, January 11, at 10:00 a.m. local time at http://thebronx.tickets.musictoday.com/. A UK headline tour, which includes two shows at The Underworld in London (February 12 & 13), will follow. See below for itinerary.

The Bronx (IV), set for release on February 5 by White Drugs/ATO Records in the U.S., comes as the band celebrates its 10th anniversary. In advance of the new album's release, all three of the band's previous full-length records have been made available digitally. The Bronx (IV), which was produced byBeau Burchell, can be pre-ordered now at http://thebronxxx.shop.musictoday.com. The album is due out February 4 in the UK/Europe (PIAS) and February 8 in Australia/New Zealand (Shock Records).

"The Bronx is back with a brand-new rock anthem," said MTV's Buzzworthy blog of "Youth Wasted," the album's first single. Fans can stream "Youth Wasted" now at https://soundcloud.com/thebronxxx/the-bronx-youth-wasted.

The band recently wrapped up a European tour. Kerrang praised a sold-out headline show at The Peel, noting: "Ribcage delivers more of the barebones punk rock that has earned the band their infamy...consider this show The Bronx's warning shot - a deadly, sweaty forerunner in the countdown to IV." "Ribcage," a song from The Bronx (IV), is available as a download at all digital retailers and on 7" vinyl at http://thebronxxx.shop.musictoday.com. The limited edition vinyl also features "Into The Black," a previously unreleased b-side.

With its blistering live performances and series of eponymously titled full-length albums, The Bronx - comprisingMatt Caughthran, Joby J. Ford, Jorma Vik, Brad Magers and Ken Mochikoshi Horne - has redefined what punk means. NME hailed The Bronx III as a "brilliantly sleazy punk rock'n'roll album...it'll make you feel like you can walk through walls." Since its release in late 2008, the band members have recorded two self-titled mariachi albums as Mariachi El Bronx and toured widely under both names. After The Bronx's February 2013 run, the band members will head out as Mariachi El Bronx, joining Flogging Molly and Donots on the 9th Annual Green 17 Tour.
