One-Eyed Doll “Hole”
This is the sound that first made me fall in love with this band back on “Monster”. Yes, this is another One Eyed Doll classic. “Suicidal Serenade” kind of sounds like System of a Down, don’t you think?
Even on songs like “Scapegoat”, which kind of channels Gwen Stefani, there may not be as much rock-metal as I’m used to with One-Eyed Doll, but the whole vibe of telling someone to eff off is still there. Plus, the song still goes really fast like punk rock.
On songs like “Nudie Bar” we get back into the lyrics we loved once again. Rhyming “propane tanks” with “kill some skanks” is just priceless. It’s not really about what you’d think, considering the line “You’re gonna die today” is often sung.
