Madeleine Peyroux “The Blue Room”
On “The Blue Room”, Madeleine Peyroux manages to channel Billie Holiday whilst crafting her own unique style of the classic take on jazz. She covers “Bye Bye Love” and does mention cocaine in one song, but this is still quite possibly the single best jazz album I have ever heard and I have heard my fair share of jazz in my time.
