"PRETEND IT'S LOVE" PREMIERES ON NEON GOLD

BAND KICKS OFF HEADLINE TOUR IN CHICAGO ON FEBRUARY 25

On April 23, +1 Records will release ...And It Shook Me, the follow-up to The Postelles' 2011 self-titled debut album. The band will be previewing songs from the forthcoming record during a North American headline tour, which launches February 25 at Chicago's Bottom Lounge and includes a hometown show at Santo's Party House in New York City on March 5. See below for itinerary. The Postelles will also perform at SXSW in March.

Neon Gold has premiered "Pretend It's Love," a beguiling duet from ...And It Shook Me that pairs lead vocalist Daniel Balk with singer-songwriter Alex Winston, at Neon Gold. Fans can also get a free download of "Pretend It's Love," which Allthingsgomusic.com pronounced an "instant pop classic," at The Postelles' website.

NYLON premiered "Running Red Lights," another track from...And It Shook Me, calling it "a ridiculously catchy, sing-along chorus indie rock anthem."You can check it out at Nylon. Balk describes the song as an ode to "whatever you're doing in your life that you probably shouldn't be, but you just can't stop."

A similar duality informs the percolating retro pop gem "Caught By Surprise," which inhabits the space between lovers with wildly disparate levels of feeling for one another. "Tidal Wave" shimmers with its jangly guitars and surf imagery while the soulful "Heavy Eyes" is a hymn for the heavy-hearted, offering sweet solace in a kiss.

The Postelles produced the 12-song collection with Eric Spring, who has worked with such artists as Patti Smith, Sia and Cass McCombs. See below for track listing.

"The Postelles sound like the wound-up early hours of what will be a long Saturday night on the town. There are elements of both mod and post-punk, but The Postelles have a sneering attitude all their own," said Rolling Stone of the band's debut album, which they co-produced with The Strokes' Albert Hammond, Jr.SPINpraised their "hooked-at-the-gills, head-bobbing rock'n'roll groove" while Q Magazine extolled the band's "sheer charm and melodies that hook their way into your synapses and refuse to let go."

The band has also garnered acclaim for what Flavorpill calledtheir "killer live show." Vanity Fair concurred, urging: "everyone go see them on tour" and the LA Weekly observed: "[The Postelles] delivered a high-energy, highly-danceable set...laying on the hooks and melodies thick and with unquestionable confidence."

The Postelles - comprising Daniel Balk (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), David Dargahi (vocals/lead guitar), John Speyer (bass) and Billy Cadden (percussion) - have headlined sold-out shows at such venues as New York City's Bowery Ballroom and toured with a wide variety of artists, including Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, Interpol, The Kills, The Wombats, Fun., Young the Giant, The Kooks, The Walkmen and Chuck Berry. The band has also played numerous festivals, including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo (twice), All Points West and Iceland Airwaves, and performed at The Who Tribute Concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall.
