Shmu “Discipline Communication”
Shmu is somewhere between a classic rock band with psychedelic/trippy moments in their songs and a modern day indie rock band ala Volcano, I’m Still Excited!!. Sometimes they have these instrumental numbers that can be sort of trippy and I would even say come close to sounding like a jam band (Yeah, there is some Dead and Phish in here), and at other times they have this tendency to make the music sound like a skipping record. It’s not that it’s a bad quality to have in a song, it can just become a bit unbearable when it becomes the basis of the entire song.
This is by no means bad music. I enjoy it quite a bit. You can download it for a mere five bucks at Band Camp and I’d say it’s worth every penny.
